our recent stay in modbury exceeded expectations. hope cottage was perfect - comfortable, well-equipped, and beautifully decorated. the host truly cared about every detail. the indoor and outdoor pools were a bonus, and the location was ideal for exploring south devon.

The estate where the cottage is located is really beautiful, with well-maintained pools and other facilities. The indoor pool was clean and great for a refreshing swim. The cottage itself was nicely refurbished and had a cozy and homely atmosphere. The kitchen was well-equipped, making cooking meals easy and enjoyable. It was also a bonus that the cottage allowed dogs, perfect for those traveling with furry friends.

There were a few negative aspects that affected our stay. First, the duvet covers and pillow cases on the children's beds were completely ripped.

We particularly enjoyed the board games provided, which added a fun element to our stay. Plus, the convenience of having extra supplies like toilet paper and tea and coffee sachets was a pleasant surprise. Definitely a great place for dog walks and a convenient base for exploring the nearby coast.

The cleanliness of the bedding was disappointing, with ripped duvet covers and pillowcases. Although we reported the issue, there was no apology from the owner and the cleaner seemed unimpressed when they had to come and replace it.

The host really took care of every detail, making our stay enjoyable. The estate had fantastic facilities such as outdoor and indoor pools, a gym, swings, and more. It was a perfect location for a family getaway. I highly recommend this place.
